Livelihood
We help vulnerable families—with a particular focus on widows with children—by providing equipment, training and financial support so they can earn a sustainable income and become self-reliant.
Short description
Every child deserves access to safe and quality education. Yet millions of children remain out of school because of poverty, conflict, displacement or a lack of schools and essential learning resources.
Through our children and education programme, we help children from vulnerable families begin or continue their education. We also support schools and learning centres that lack basic resources.
Our support may include:
- School bags, books and stationery
- School uniforms and essential clothing
- Desks, boards and teaching materials
- Interactive displays and other digital learning equipment
- Renovation and improvement of classrooms
- Support for schooling and education
- Initiatives that create safe and inclusive learning environments
Education gives children more than knowledge. It builds confidence, opens new opportunities and can help families break the cycle of poverty. By investing in a child’s education, we also invest in the future of the wider community.
In cooperation with local organisations, we adapt our assistance to the needs of each school and community. Our goal is to give children the tools they need to learn, develop and build a better life.
Your support can help a child attend school with the essential supplies, security and hope they need for the future.Frequently asked questions
